Is someone who only works 3 months out of the year a part-time NEET? No.10885

Freeter only applies to someone who works a junk food job. But what about the oil rigger who works 3 months out of the year, makes $50K, and lives on that? What about seasonal workers who only work during tourist or harvest season? What about a digital nomad programmer who takes 3-6 month long contracts then gets high and plays video games the rest of the year?

They are definitely NOT in employment for part of their time, but unlike pure NEETs, they know they will have to work again next year. In fact, the only NEETs who are pure NEETs are those who immediately kill themselves if they suddenly are in a position where they need money to live.

You work. It's as simple as that. Can't have your cake and eat it too.

No.10924

Freeter has no mention of how long they work, just that they work.
Stop coping, you are not a neet.
They are in employment every year.

If you only worked every other year, would you still be a NEET? Where is the line?

The line is crossed the moment you get hired or enrolled in a school or internship, a NEET can Not be in Education Employment or Training. have fun getting hazed by your boss and/or your coworkers/classmates!
