Plastic straws are BASED!!! No.10996

The Paper Straw meme is nothing more than that: a cringeworthy meme. Even plastic straws can be recycled once chopped up, washed and melted down into something else.
Tampon Tubes disintegrate in liquid and ruin the taste of your drink.

I'm all for reduction of emissions and banning chlorofluorocarbons and the promotion of solar generators, safe fission and fusion reactors and electric vehicles (except muskmobiles, they are only good for the steel pancake recycling machine) but this is going too far.
At least some environmentalists aren't like the brainlet majority of the herd who think foolishly that sitting on their duffs and waving signs instead of getting in the lab and solving problems with real science will do anything to change the status quo.

take the metal straw pill anon... one straw to carry around everywhere, no wastage of any material, no cucktier melting like paper,
the only reason that most people don't use them is because they have to move around a lot and carrying a straw everywhere seems ridiculous,
but we live mostly at home, so it's easy for us to adjust to a metal straw. why not pick up a metal straw?,

this is a lie, i believe. many people claim this for everything they own: hardcover books, typewriters, authentic consoles... the list goes on. but when the new generation comes in, having used the alternatives for their whole lives, they find the old ways disturbing. you simply refuse to adapt. nothing wrong with it, just know that it is the same,

I like playing GBA games on real hardware when I'm taking a crap. But when I take a break from shitposting and writing software I tend to use VBA (but not for writing software)
Hell i've even played The Minish Cap on the WII

Most people don’t own that many chattel goods and certainly not ones of quality. A private library is a luxury ill afforded to people, but bibliophiles would take it in a heartbeat over an e-reader. My eyes hurt reading longform from a screen. The best authors still use typewriters or at most a dedicated word processor. The cost cutting has gone from beam spring to capacitive buckling spring to membrane buckling. MX-style switches are simply no good when it comes to tactility. If you think emulation on a non-CRT is how a retro game was meant to be played, I don’t know what to tell you. The new generation has a lot to learn from the old, and they do rediscover things after making the same mistakes.

>the best authors still use typewriters or at most a dedicated word processor
in what fucking world lol. the current cream of the crop writers all use actual laptops or desktops with keyboards to write,
>if you think emulation on a non-CRT is how a retro game was meant to be played, I don’t know what to tell you
for a significant amount of games, it absolutely is. if you think goldeneye was meant to be played on a godawful controller you are fucking retarded. some games, maybe, but not most for sure,

I still have CRT monitors they are based. Most people I talk to are surprised that I still record on VHS. also PAL is better then NTSC(Never Twice the Same Color)
And I prefer an old boomer phone any day over a stupid cellphone that air-headed teenage girls obsess over!
I've seen people who use their monitors in portrait mode for word processing, but it's still like running lisp on a non-lisp machine. but i prefer LaTeX and other markup languages any day to M$-Word or even libreoffice.

I love emulation but I think that N64 emulation still has a long way to go. I remember when I played Super Mario 64 on the Wii in some parts the geometry would just freak out!
I agree with you the controllers for N64 (and consoles in general) are simply not made for FPS games, Hell Sony even sold a mouse for the PlayStation just so you could play quake!

check out the new N64 emulators for PC, they're much better than wii emus,
i think that SM64 is more playable on them then the actual N64 and i used to own both,

Metal straws are a bad idea. They embody so much more energy than a plastic straw and generate enormously more waste to produce. You have to go through like a hundred plastic straws to even come close to matching the amount of pollution of a metal straw. That is assuming you're able to use a metal straw that long (lest it's lost or damaged) Besides, plastic straws are a drop in the bucket compared to things like commercial fishing gear when it comes to ocean waste

Based. and even when it comes to marine pollution there are dredgers combing the seas to sell plastic flotsam to melt down into potential new straws. Paper straws only good use is to be thrown directly into the compost heap to ferment and used to grow my tasty spinach.
