Why does everyone keep asking me what I study or what I work as?
Why does everyone always assume I have at least one friend? It's like they cannot comprehend that I don't have any of it. They look at me confused.
>How could that be? That's impossible.
Do other people just lie and say they do study or work when they don't, and do they lie and say yes they have a couple friends?
I always answer honestly and people are always so shocked. Do I not sound stupid enough to be unemployed? Do I not look ugly and annoying enough to be friendless?
Is there a rule that you need to act or look a certain way to be a loser? Can't I just be a loser. Why is that so weird? There are lots of losers in this world, it shouldn't surprise anyone.

Because they wanna feel better about not being you.

>Why does everyone always assume I have at least one friend?
It's the opposite for me. Everyone somehow knows that I have no friends. Normies can sense my autism from a mile apart.

Eh having no friends is basically mainstream already: https://nypost.com/2019/08/02/1-in-5-millennials-are-lonely-and-have-no-friends-survey/

One of the fastest growing communities in reddit history was /r/antiwork. We're just ahead of the curve.

Then why is it such a shock? To friends of my family. To doctors. To therapists. To government workers. Why do they not just show emotional signs of "oh that's a bit sad" as opposed to "what that can't be true?"
Am I just the only one who isn't lying about it when people ask?

I don't interact with enough people to see this happen but now i'm really curious if i'd get the same response. If people were somehow so shocked about it, that'd actually make me feel better about myself.

Well, it's the NEW normal, so it probably is weird to boomers and gen X. But any millennial or gen Z person acting shocked is being kind of a douchebag. They should know it's not uncommon these days.

Probably. You probably look normal enough that they would assume that you are normal just like them: normal being 'has friends and a job/goes to school'.

People used to hide that shit a lot more but no longer.

Most people don't have anything to talk about.
They just get home and get pleasure from their games and porn, and then repeat it every day.
They don't have thoughts or interests.

I'm not any better than them especially when it comes to porn. I have otaku-tier interests, but they're essentially consumerist.
