This seems weird but ever get the satisfying feeling of having old hardware and it still kicks ass at anything you throw at it? No.5553

I have an old i7 and GTX 1070 and it's still doing fine. Adjusting the settings here and there and it is fine and still keeps a stable 60fps+
What about you guys?

I feel you, anon. My older i7 and GTX 1070 still kicks ass.

I don’t think I will ever be able to graduate to anything newer. I have two 4790k PCs.

FreeDOS and Quake!

My 2012 laptop heats up a bit much if I use anything
I still like it

I'm on a hand-me-down GTX 970 from 2015 and it runs everything I want to play on high except Cyberpunk. Almost impulse bought a new graphics card last month and kinda glad I didn't.

I have a GTX 970 and a R5 1600x and it can't run BF 2042 at 1080p and 60fps, even at low settings. Feels bad man. I don't understand how they made the game look arguably worse than BF4 yet much more demanding.

Bad optimization
There's also an anti piracy feature some new games have that makes them more demanding

If anyone is looking for a low-requirements game - you could try to play WoW MoP. It can run even on my 20-year old pc with only 128mb vram.
