When you buy a daki or figurine of your waifu, your money is not supporting a 3D woman, but rather the man who created her. I suppose there are some rare cases where the waifu or the waifu product was created by a real woman like with Tomoko Kuroki so that would be simping. Also any support of Vtubers is obviously simping because there is a real 3D girl wearing a 2D mask; essentially just the end state of make-up.

And while most waifus have 3D female voice actresses, in 99% of cases you're still not supporting them because they only receive payment from the production company that hired them.
