if you put coffee powder on a small cup in your room it neutralizes the bad smells.
I put one on my desk around a week ago and now my room smells like coffee.

In my experience bad smell mainly comes from worn clothes, rotting organic trash and unwashed bodies. I got rid of it by using an airtight laundry basket and trash can and showering daily. Also opening the window twice a day.
I figure doing that would make the coffe smell even better.

Or you could make soup in a cup and have it in your room. Or any food really.

My sense of smell is very weak, once there was a gas leak and I noticed because someone else passed by and told me about the smell
Otherwise I would be dead by now
I think I shall try snorting coffee powder to fight sleep.
