Feel free to drop your contact info, too.
Luckily I already had the Element app installed to use Matrix.
No
why don't people use jabber or irc or email anymore? easier
>>1804
yeah it always has to be some random ass messaging service used by 50 people
ive got a dozen of these things like tox or ancient as fuck services people insist on using like fucking vent
just make some cockli email and use that instead
>>1807
You take a chance and if someone's worth talking to their preferred platform shouldn't matter. Just be glad it's not Discord they're using.
sent you a message on matrix, op
never used this before but oh well
OP better respond
i have responded to so many threads like these and every time they either never reply or i get ghosted after one to two days
>>1815
same, truly is a pain isnt it?
>>1804
>easier
Seriously, I don't understand why people who think they're doing something more convenient shy away from just using a dedicated email to talk to others online. Can't get any easier than that. If you're trying to talk to a larger amount of others in a group, irc was and still is a much better way to go. At least nobody is trying to push Discord in this thread.
Feel free to talk to me, I'm a french baguette :

I actually find discord is ok for talking about technical topics, which I mostly prefer to do rather than think about all my failings in life.
i am still not used to this so, i should probably throw this out here
[email protected]
Why do people refuse to use discord? Is it the phone number thing?
>You can contact me here: matrix.org
that's how wizcord started

Reminds me what Nathan Lineback ranted about a while back
>3/10/2021
>I've been trying to log in to my old toastytech youtube account.
>Of course, it is a Google account now.
>I only log in to it every couple of years, and each time they give me a hassle about "recovering".
>Well, this time it won't let me in at all.
>It sends me an e-mail and lets me enter a recovery code.....
>then insists that it "texts" me some code.
>Do I look like a damn teenage girl?
>I don't own a smartphone, I don't want one,
>I'm not a consumertard, and I am not going to waste a pile of money just for this one damn thing.
>Of course, entering my normal phone number does nothing at all.
>FUCK YOU GOOGLE!!
>No, I don't even have anyone else I could borrow a cell phone from.
>I'm all alone in this world. It sucks to be me.
>But that raises a question -
>Google lets me enter any phone number -
>so how the FUCK does that even prove it is me?
>Right, it doesn't, it JUST SELLS CELL PHONES!
>You consumertard idiots just want everything to require a cell phone, for no reason at all except to make you feel better about owning some overpriced status symbol.
>Like a modern version of a Rolex watch.
>Oh, wait Apple is already doing that too.
>My $10 Casio watch says "bite me, I'll be keeping time long after your wasteful toy is obsolete and in the trash".
>>5684
I watched a video about that, they can see everything (but choose to do nothing), you deleting your account doesn't really do so (your account and everything you ever posted remains intact), I would be worrying if I was not so stubborn
I'm not sure why I don't care
My main reason for using it is so I can follow some projects like fangames and romhacks
>romhacks
works through tor
to participate in that you can also do through tor
>>5694
Not all of them
I like knowing about all the recent updates which you can't get if you aren't using that app
I have never cared about big corps collecting my info
It's just the way I am
It's wrong but it won't change
Tor also makes my internet even slower
if anyone wants to talk about anything or just an friend - @narchy:matrix.org
